Butterfly by Puccini, Miss Saigon is one of the ten
longest running musicals in Broadway history. It tells the
story of an American soldier who falls in love with a
Vietnamese girl during the fall of Saigon. It has music by
Claude-Michel Schonberg with lyrics by Alain Boubil and
Richard Maltby Jr. It won three Tonys in 1991 and there is
not a dry eye in the theater by the end of the
performance. Perfect for dates, Miss
Saigon has been and should continue to be one of the
brightest shining stars on all of Broadway.
