Tickets for Broadway can be obtained numerous ways. One way to reserve tickets is via telephone.
It's a good way to see a specific show on a specific date. You'll
get charged a service fee per ticket, but it's probably worth it.

For
those in search of a real bargain there are ways to find
discounted tickets. If it isn’t important to see a specific
show, it may be worthwhile to buy tickets in person for
productions with seats still available. Tickets can be purchased
from the TKTS booth
in Times Square.
This booth sells same-day performance tickets at a discount of
25-75% off. The basic way this works is that the TKTS booth
will list all the tickets they have available for that day. Select
from most Broadway and off-Broadway productions, with a surprising
number of seats still available. There is a fee of $2.50 per
ticket, and only cash and travelers checks are accepted.
The Broadway Ticket Center is
another option for theatre information and tickets. It's housed in
the Times Square Visitors Center on the east side of Broadway
between 46th and 47th Streets, next to the Palace Theatre. The Ticket
Center prides itself on friendly, knowledgeable customer service
agents. Operated by
The League of American Theatres and Producers, their agents provide not only ticket and show information,
but assist customers with many other tourist requests.
The
ticket center is open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. In addition to
the Broadway Ticket Center, the Visitors Center also offers a wide
range of services including cash machines, Internet access, and an
international newsstand.
